Today, I am thankful for the natural world, and my easy access to slices of it on a regular basis. I love living in the city, and I love, too, that I still have access to a sense of the seasons and the earth in the grass and trees and rivers near me. I'm thankful to live in a time when we value and appreciate the environment and the earth, even though our policies and practices haven't caught up with that value, yet. I'm thankful for blue sky and snow and rain and birds and bats and bees and shoofing through dry leaves and starry night skies and the ripples of light on water and the smell of ocean and the whole big world we live in. It's a miracle, and I love it.
