I feel like I'm a competent at following waltzes, but not with a lot of flair, and I still do a bit of counting in my head, so I have some learning still to do. Now, whether I'd get what I need from a beginning ballroom class is another question...
(And, no, I'm still mostly sticking with following :)
well, imo all of this means that you need to waltz with more good partners. i think you're more than capable of picking it up -- your waltzing has gotten really lovely since the first few times we did it, and it was hardly bad back then. :)
re: leading: okay, so i was kidding -- but i do believe that learning what the other half does is helpful in learning how to do your own part. for what it's worth...
Yes, I think I could use more waltzing in my life! And thanks :)
I can see your point about leading, and I probably should learn to lead at least some dances! In fact, if I went with the ballroom, since it's a basics class, I could probably lead waltzes, at least, since I'm guessing I'm pretty solidly beyond basics on that. *hm*
