Also, in France: Lion bars. Maybe because they're made with sugar and not corn syrup? Anyway, I haven't found an American candy bar that's as super-tasty-crunchy-chewy-awesome!
Yes, definitely! Small mint chocolate things: Junior Mints, Peppermint Patties, After Eights (mmmm)... My folks would occasionally have a box of After Eights in the larder which I would oh-so-subtly remove the candy and leave the wrapper. It probably took them about 2 seconds to figure out what was going on.
