I'm in Wyoming!

It's been quite a while since I was home in the summertime, and I'm embarrassed that I'd kind of forgotten how fantastically nice it is. I'm sleeping in the guest yurt because my sister in law's parents are in the guest room. She and my brother are in the camper, and my cousin is in the neigh it's guest shack.

Which is all to say, I fucking love it here. You should come visit with me sometime.

There's soft rain falling on the roof, all peaceful like, and I feel sleep creeping slowly into the corners. Bring it!

We are flying home tomorrow from Denver after visiting friends in Ft Collins. We also spent a couple of days in Yellowstone. So we got to drive thru a lot of Wy. It has some very beautiful landscapes.

It is a very lovely state.

Although I did my share of cursing certain parts of it. Specifically the parts over 10,000 when I was backpacking with a base pack (i.e., not including food) of over a third of my body weight, and discovering that my cardiovascular system deals very badly with high altitude. Not that it wasn't pretty at that time, just that I wasn't in the best condition to notice. ;-}

I want to visit! Do you have any details on the guest yurt? We've been talking about ways to expand the sleeping space available at my family's camp and the word "yurt" has totally been spoken...
