Man, do I love cheese.

We like cheese toast for breakfast in my family (cheese on top of a slice of bread, toasted under the broiler). Owl Mama put it best: "Even when I don't want breakfast, I'll eat this like a little robot."

If only cheese didn't go bad so quickly.

I never keep it long enough to know...

Cheese goes bad quickly?

[identity profile] sarahshevett.livejournal.com 2005-05-06 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Cheese go bad? You need to keep it wrapped and it should last...

[identity profile] snowy-owlet.livejournal.com 2005-05-06 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
When there's only one person in the house eating it, it will indeed go bad eventually.

When bleu cheese is no longer edible, you know that it's been around a while.

It was the word "quickly" that I was refering to. You said eventually, and of course I will agree with you there..

Very true. Times like these make me wish for an edit button ...

As far as I'm concerned, it started off inedible.

I had a nice ham and cheese omlette this morning at the hotel - normal cheddar cheese + ham inside, and they put mozzerella on the outside of it, sort of a layer on the top. I thought it a bit off of a way to do an omlette, but gosh it was nummy.

So, yah, me too :)

I've just started combining cheeses, yow that is good.

No cheese while pregnant?? Dear god, it's a miracle we survive.

[identity profile] wolfkitn.livejournal.com 2005-05-07 04:57 am (UTC)(link)

Goofy plots, 70's music, Linda Carter flouncing around in a cape?

You know, cheese.

I've been having a weeklong tryst with muenster. On my lunch break, I dash down to rendezvous in secret with her in a discreet deli. She greets me naked & exposed, her packaging laying recklessly discarded on the counter. There I devour her ravenously. Then I wipe the crumbs from my lips & slip back to work as if nothing had happened. And no one suspects a thing.

hee! me too.

(so, what provoked this post, can you share? was it a particular fromage?)

Cheese! I had a sheep's milk brie from a farm outside of Philadelphia, purchased in the Reading Terminal Market, that was to die for. Only now I can't remember what it was called, and I can't find it anywhere on the web :( Aie!
