Caravan of Curves, the belly dance contingent of Big Moves, is offering a 6-week introductory class on belly dance especially for larger, voluptuous dancers. Learn some basic belly dance moves, and see for yourself the basis for the statement that this ancient, beautiful dance form is truly for dancers of all sizes and body types.

Not my thing, but have fun! Speaking of other cool classes, though -- were you by any chance interested in doing bike repair sometime soon? (We did talk about doing that sometime, right? I'm not crazy and hallucinating that you expressed an interest? :) )

Yes! Well, yes, I am interested in taking the class, but, to be realistic, if I do this belly dance class, I don't think I can reasonably say I'll add yet another class to my schedule this term. Maybe in the spring?

That's totally reasonable. I'm not sure I want to wait until the spring, but if I do decide to, it would definitely be fun to take it together!

I thought "ooh, expanding into belly dance!" and then I saw the "larger, voluptuous dancers". I only fit one of those adjectives. Oh well.

The last class I took with these folks did have a couple of what I would call average-sized dancers, but I don't know if they felt out of place.
