saving money here and there

I feel silly that I only recently started doing this, but:

Whenever I'm shopping online, before I check out, I do a google search for coupons or promotion codes for that retailer. I'd say that about 80% of the time, I succeed in getting free shipping, a 10-25% discount, or both. It's like free money! If you're not doing this already, you should :)

I have the RetailMeNot firefox plugin installed, so it tells me automagically if someplace I'm shopping has a coupon!

If you would like another idea on how to save a little more money, I have one that I do. Whenever I eat food out I put at least ten dollars into my money market account. If I am feeling particularly thrifty, I will put in the amount equal to what I spent.

Also, if you sign up with Ebates and start through their portal site, you can get a percentage of your purchases from a bunch of online retailers back as cash. They bank your rewards and send you a check or a Paypal payment once a quarter if you've got at least $5 banked.

Unfortunately, I buy most of my online stuff from Amazon, and they rarely have discount coupons -- I do look :}
