I call shenanigans on anyone who voted "simple" but ever bought anything made with lace.

See, and I could sense you were "fancy". That's how brilliant my example is!

The only time I've bought lace I've then cut if off. Is that ok?

OK, you get an exemption. Buying something in spite of lace gets you a hall pass.

That's me. Hate lace, frills, curly-cues or any such thing. I like everything with smooth, straight lines and solid colors.

I actively avoid all things with lace, excessive fringe, sequins, or beads.

I admire and daydream about fancy, but 99% of the time I end up going with simple.

Duh, fancy, because if I'm calling it fancy it means it's good. Otherwise I'd call it "overly fussy" or "stupid".

Reason #1008 that I love you!

Exception: food. Where food is concerned, gimme fancy.

That was going to be my caveat.
