Do you have any word aversions?

I have one: "pit" (but only when describing holes or hole-like areas (armpit, tree pit, etc, not, say, when describing the stones in fruit).

On my way back from lunch with the ever awesome rule30, I was nearly run down in a crosswalk by a car sporting the bumper sticker "I SUPPORT WATERBOARDING".

Later, I passed an elderly couple just as the man said to the woman, "Honey, I need to take a piddle break."

The world is endlessly entertaining!

Open letter to bus riders

Dear bus riders,

You do no one any favors by declining to take the empty seat in front of you when the bus is jammed. You're blocking anyone else from taking it and taking up aisle space while doing it. Sit your ass down.
