I don't understand how Mack, my coworker, manages to get to work every day. I'm housesitting for him this week, and every morning, I wake up and it pains me to leave his house! It's so beautiful. He spent the last year or so building a screened porch onto the back of the house, and I've been sleeping there, waking up with the morning sun in the branches of the trees. And now that the weather's nicer, I just can't picture a better sleepspot.

Of course, yesterday morning I ran into some bunny trouble, when it turned out that one of the bunnies had escaped from its cage and was hanging out in the tray underneath. It took me a good 15 minutes to coax it out enough that I could pick it up and put it back in the cage. At least it wasn't one of the biters. And then, this morning, I realized that because of the excitement yesterday, I'd forgotten the upstairs bunnies! Oops. They were really excited to see me when I came in today :)

This morning, I woke up to early morning green light filtered through leaves, and I didn't want to get out of bed, but the clock told me it was time, so I did, reluctantly. It was a much better morning for bunny care than yesterday, when I got drenched from the rain. I was totally thrilled that it was raining, though, so I'm not complaining. I fed cranky Murphy (the cat), showered, got my stuff together and hopped in the car, only to see that... it was 7:15. I don't get up until 7:30. Hmmmmmm...

Well, misreading the clock early in the morning isn't the end of the world, nor, I suppose, should I be surprised. It did mean that traffic was a heck of a lot more manageable, and that'll make my evening plans easier, since I ended up parking in Cambridge rather than Riverside. And I'm at work early! Time for productivity. Or something...

Dan arrives tonight!
