Good weekend. My parents are back in the country, I was ridiculously social, and the kitchen is mostly clean.

Deep fried twinkies are better than they have any right to be, but I could never eat more than half of one.

It's cold. What is this? Winter? Please! Winter had its chance in January! If even I'm ready for spring, it must be time. (Actually, more snow would be just fine, but with higher temps.)

I love the phrase "By golly!" to express surprise. I will be attempting to incorporate this into daily conversation. It's also handy, with a slightly different inflection, to express emphasis, by golly. Keep an ear out for that, too.

Icon confusion continues. I remain confused.

Sometimes, life hands you a delightful little surprise -- something that you would have asked for if only you'd known to ask. Other times, life hands you a whole barrel of these surprises. Is it more fun to get the barrel, or to sort through it, exclaiming over each thing it contains? I'll let you know.
