I am a bad LiveJournaller.
I would like to use the excuse that I got a LiveJournal and promptly broke my wrist, making long or insightful journal posts rather a luxury with the time I spent typing, which was tedious, to say the least. Alternatively, I would like to say that I only got a LiveJournal so I could read friends' posts and I never intended to write much, anyway. And, to a point, each of those is true. The other bit, though, is probably that I'm a little lazy, and I presume I do the same type of thing I'd do when journalling when emailing friends, instead. Also, there's the whole Journal Thing (long story).
All that said, I am making a small, insignificant post to my lifejournal, to increase the number of posts by 50%! How's that for productive.
Today is gorgeous, and it makes me happy. Also making me happy is knowing (almost 100% sure) where I'll be living next year. Today, I put down the rest of my deposit, and that's that. Then I just have to find one more person to fill the last room. Realtors are a pain in the ass, and they get paid more than they deserve for the work they do, but at least this time they're not asking for a full month's fee. I was hoping to avoid the whole realtor fee question, but what can you do? Melissa seems pretty cool, and the place is lovely, in a great spot. Ready-made roommates are nice, and avoiding the realtor's fee is a win, but it's so hard for me to be up in the air about where I'm gonna be living. $300 is a small price to pay to feel more settled. Now all I have to do is pack and move. (Eek!)
