Hey friends!

Astute readers will notice that I didn't kick off a confessional post yesterday. Although I hadn't really made a conscious decision about this one way or another, I now realize that last year's was the last one for me. Sorry I didn't realize this earlier so someone else who wanted to host one on the traditional day could do so. But! Please feel free to take the idea and run with it. I've super enjoyed these over the years and I appreciate everyone who has participated and helped to make them a really special and unique shared experience. I'll probably have a longer post later with more musings but this is it for now.

I wonder how many of us are still on LiveJournal and how many are on dreamwidth only? (I'm kinda following both, but mostly dreamwidth)

I still crosspost to LJ but I don't look at it anymore. Comments on my crossposts are forced back to here.

Thank you for hosting so many times over the years. I'm sad that it's over and glad that you did it.

Hello Rosa! You don't know me (I don't think?), but I have been tangentially part of the Boston-area social groups that have been part of the confessional over the years. Thank you for hosting the confessional for so long both here and on LJ. It was a unique and special space. I am also both sad that it is over and grateful that it existed as long as it did! Thank you!

I should probably qualify that my LJ name was different - hippie1025.

Thank you for hosting for so many years. I came to it relatively late, but I have definitely appreciated it over the years and participated in the last several seasons. I can’t imagine the amount of thoughtful, compassionate work that went into moderating such an intense event, and what was visible was always handled with grace.

Along with the others, my thanks for hosting that space over the years. Some years it was goofy fun for me, others were good thinky times, and they are all due to you and the model you set for others to follow.

Thanks, and I hope you enjoyed your day(s)!

I'm joining the chorus of voices thanking you for hosting the confessional, and adding that I think it was a uniquely important virtual space that allowed people to ask and answer questions they couldn't have engaged with in any other context.

I'll add my voice of thanks to the chorus. Especially for the relationship connections you facilitated, particularly the one that made such a tremendous difference in my life. Thank you for being an essential part of us having four blissful years together. <3
