it's a day

We all have them: days that might have been better spent in bed. Today is one of those.

In hopes of cheering myself up, I have a turkey in the oven, and I will be receiving a fruitcake from moominmolly in an hour. Then, I may break out a bottle of wine. Or, if things are really dire, scotch.

You eat fruitcake? Hooray! A friend and I got together for, I think 5 years in a row on Labor Day to make fruitcakes. Ours were approximately 70 million times better than the atrocities you see in the grocery store. SO! YUM!

I do! I imprinted on fruitcake as made by a friend of my parents, which I love, so I don't have the same anti-fruitcake sentiments that so many seem to hold.

Therefore: mmm. fruitcake!

But only homemade :)
