still sick

I think this is as sick as I've been in many years. Bleh! I totally should have known this would happen between sleep deprivation, travel, and getting chilled both Monday and Tuesday.

Last night, my fever was at 102, which was enough to make me downright dizzy. Ai was nice enough to come over and be good company but not demanding. And we finally opened her gift to the house: Maple whiskey! Yum.

Today, I still feel yucky, but my fever is mostly hovering around 100, and my mind, while not running in its top gears, is, at least, cranking along. My cough keeps acting like it would LIKE to be productive, but it's really not, which is definitely the most painful part.

On the bright side, I feel like I'm going to kick this thing in good time, so I should be back up to speed by next week.

FWIW, I seem to be going through the exact same thing on the same schedule. (Blah!) So let me know if you're fine tomorrow. :)

arrgh... and it's the exact same thing that has come back to haunt me, right down to the cough that would like to be productive. my experience so far has been that i have 102 while my body is totally pooped, and then gradually it comes down (to 100). then i feel fine, start living again, and it *slams* right back.

p.s. my cough eventually became productive. i don't like what it's producing, but it is a bit more satisfying to get something out after all that effort...

Ugh! Well, I hope I manage to kick it in one go -- I'll take a lesson from you and take it easy after getting better.

Good luck to you, too, on gettin better yourself.

And yeah, productive coughs are much more satisfying, even if also much more gross.

Yeah, I and the kids all experienced the rebound effect on this thing too on about day #7. I thought I was in the all-clear (though still not feeling back to 100% but much better) and then *wham* the fever came back. Take it easy! *hug*

One of the great things about virtual hugs - no disease transmission :)
