Ach, sorry to hear it. It sounds a lot like the Christmas Crud John and I had. I found Aleve crushed the fever where ibuprofin, asprin, and tylenol had no effect.

Seconded on the Alleve; it really made all the difference when I was sure I was just doomed to being feverish all night.

One thing that marked Janet's and my particular crud was a serious loss of appetite. No stomach upset, just didn't feel hungry for days...
