Theraflu is disgusting. That's no surprise, What IS a surprise, however, is that the instructions include "Sip." Do the people who make Theraflu think that it's a tasty pre-bed beverage? If so, remind me never to attend a meal prepared by anyone involved in the making or marketing of Theraflu.

There are no pho restaurants that deliver to where I live now. This is the first major negative my current home has scored in comparison to my apartment in Brookline.

I'm feeling MUCH better. I'm still far from well, and, in fact, most of my symptoms (stuffy nose, watery eyes, cough) are still going strong, but the fatigue and utter exhaustion is... if not departed, clearly packing up and getting ready to move out.

I understand this thing has a rebound, though, so I think I'll continue to take it easy for the next week or so.

You must add sugar to the Theraflu. Then it's like warm lemonade yummm...

Oh my god, I can't imagine how much sugar I'd have to put in to cover up the chemical taste!

How much??

Hm Maybe it's just me; I do like drinking cough syrup too.
I put like 2 teaspoons in

I don't mind cough syrup, but there's something about Theraflu that's just bad (and it's a sign of how bad I'm feeling when I'm willing to suffer through it), but next time, I'll try the sugar trick.

It can't make it worse!

I thought you meant the chicken flavored theraflu. Somehow that seems especially gross to me.

Wouldn't ginger tea and some nyquil do the same trick? Then it wouldn't taste gross.

I'm glad you're feeling better! Such a shame you got sick.

I think they say "sip" so you won't slam it, like shots.

I've always wondered what would happen if someone just swallowed the tablet without letting it fizz. Would it make you sick? It would be a way of getting around the taste....

There's chicken flavored theraflu?? I had no idea.

Ginger tea and nyquil would have been way preferable, except there was no nyquil in the house. I never buy cold/flu medicines that aren't pills or capsules, but I haven't bought those things in more than a year, so I was stuck with what one of my roommates had on hand. I was desperate :)

It's the Alka-Selzer that fizzes, and I think swallowing it whole is a bad idea because it releases a lot of gas, which can cause problems for your balloon, er, stomach.

and I still think slamming it would be better :)

A medicinal taste tester. Now there's a job I'm glad I don't have!
