Sunday dim sum and hat shopping

I met
laurenhat for dim sum this morning, which was way overdue, both in the sense of getting together with her and in the sense of having dim sum. It's been aaaages since I did, and, boy, is it still tasty! We went to a new-to-me place that compared well to my traditional China Pearl, plus a better ambiance. I prefer the slimy noodles at China Pearl, but otherwise, this place was quite good, plus, their chicken feet are really quite outstanding.
I don't normally order chicken feet, because they're a lot of work for not all that much food, but the woman with the cart was showing what she had, and made a cursory nod toward the chicken feet, indicating that she knew two white girls weren't going to want those secret delicacies, so, of course, I had to take a plate of them. Our server was satisfyingly surprised, and we got the best chicken feet I've had. Yum :)
Then, we went hat shopping. Macy's had a lousy selection, but Filene's Basement actually had enough variety that, although none of them called out to us, particularly, it was a lot of fun trying on a variety of them. But then we went to the main destination of our outing: Toppers. This is a hat shop on Newbury St that someone had told
laurenhat about. I was expecting, it being on Newbury St, a rather expensive shop full of wild and crazy hats that I would never spend that much money on. Instead (perhaps unfortunately), it was a shop full of pretty fantastic hats, at least some of which were in my price range, and several of which looked good on me. I'm going to try to go back for their spring sale in a couple of weeks. I did manage to resist buying the hat I really wanted, because it was more than I thought it was really worth, and the other hat I almost bought didn't sing to me the second time I tried it on. Still, it was great fun trying on lots of hats, both normal and crazy.
Is it a bad sign that I want to go to bed now, even though it's not even 9? I decline to get sick this month, so maybe I'll just give in and go to bed.
