Spinning argh!

Two frustrating nights of spinning in a row! Damnit! I'll get almost a full length of singles (so the spindle's nearly at the floor) and then it'll slide apart somewhere in the middle! Damnit. I think that means I'm not putting enough twist in it, but I really feel like I'm twisting the heck out of it. Most annoying, and I'm not sure how to fix it. I guess spin it more, but ARGH!

When I used to spin wool I would put a shitload of spin into the first bit then pull it out, sometimes holding the spindle in my toes!
Joanne said there is an opening coming up in Antigua at David's clinic. Write them if interested.

I like to recomend the first 3 to 6 times someone spins to do it with other experienced spinners. It can be so much fun that way, and it can be so frustrating the other way.

Not that you can't do it otherwise, but it's good to have someone handy who can help in a pinch.
