Okay, just for fun...

Recommend (in the Boston area):

1) A really great place to eat
2) A fun, oft-overlooked activity for spring/summer
3) A favorite weekend trip away from the city

1. Gargoyles, in Davis on Elm St. It's upscale, but not snooty. And very yummy. http://www.gargoylesonthesquare.com/ (http://www.gargoylesonthesquare.com/)

2. Camping is available on four of the harbor islands (Grape, Lovell, Bumpkin, and Peddocks). Each has just 10-12 campsites. Take the ferry, take drinking water, and take home your trash. Passenger ferries leave daily from Long Wharf in Boston. For camping permits: Lovell and Peddocks, 617-727-7676; Bumpkin and Grape, 877-422-6762.

Or just go to the Arboretum in JP.

3. Griffin Grove Inn, in Hardwick, VT. It's about a 4 hour drive (but a great drive). www.griffingrove.com (http://www.griffingrove.com/)

1) Tea Tray In The Sky, in Arlington. But you probably knew that.
2) Mountains. Go to Franconia Notch State Park in NH and ride the Cannon Mountain tram if you don't want to hike them.
3) Northampton. Specifically, East Heaven Hot Tub Co., the Teapot restaurant (yummy chinese food and amazing sushi), and lots of pretty countryside.
