As a rule, I try to avoid offering advice unasked, but I feel this is a tidbit worth sharing:

My recommendation to you all is that you avoid contusing nerves anywhere in your body.

On the other hand, when you confuse nerves, you confuse nerves more or less throughout your body. Including your gut. :)

That bit of knowledge has helped me deal with a variety of situations!
