Yesterday, I went to SFMOMA and saw the coolest thing I've seen all year: this exhibition. Okay, really, only half of it got me going, but it was so unbelievably mind-bendingly great that I can't stop thinking about it. I might have to go back tomorrow afternoon just to see it.

Oh, yeah, they also had some Matisse and a really awesome piece called "Collision", which looked like two rooms, uh, collided. But, really, You and I, Horizontal was the standout by leaps and bounds. I want one. I also can talk about it for a while, so if you want to hear more about it, just say the word.

The former: You enter a huge, dark room with walls painted black and a long projection of a slowly transforming shape, which viewers then interact with by walking around, in and through. When you're standing IN it, the light through the haze looks like a solid wall, which people walk through and make transparent with their shadows. It's unbelievably awesome.

On a very cursory search, I can't find images of "Collision", unfortunately.
