Dude ... why'd you go to vegas, then?

I mean, unless you were visiting the casino to plant a large nuclear device. Then it'd be okay.

I assumed it was for the free drinks and the hookers who have hearts of gold.

Wait, that looks like a 4yo kid wandering around in the middle of the casino.

Which, IIRC, is illegal, isn't it?

i don't think it can be illegal for them to walk through the casinos, because in vegas at least, they set up the hotels so it's impossible to get from your room to the outdoors without winding your way through casino labyrinths :) maybe it's just illegal for them to gamble?

Also, as we found out, illegal for them to stand still and watch gambling. But yes, had the casino been off limits, we would have had to sleep in the street. :-)

Ha, that was my first thought too... what's that jamsmearer doing wandering around alone?

What makes you think he was alone?

Um, I didn't see anyone with him. But you're right, of course, it's a bad assumption. I was looking at the photograph as a tableau.

Oooof. I've never had any desire to go to a casino. Anyplace where people seem to be trying so hard to have fun - casinos, amusement parks, etc. - just tend to sort of depress me.

I took a quick look at the picture and thought it was some kind of Chuckey Cheese...
maybe it was the kid, or the layout of the machines... but then again, I guess that is really all a casino is. Pizza and video games for grown ups, some skee ball and entertainment to mix it up. Just keep pumping that social security money into the slot machines...
Damn.

So just what is it you hate about them, the decor? the smells? the noise? the smoke? the absence of exit signs and clocks? Or did you lose some money?
But didn't you drive up to the Red Rocks?

The awesome thing about that photo is that the people in the foreground have their arms straight out in front of them in a way that makes them look like zombies.

Upon inspection, I think that the arm is mine, which (sadly) means less with the zombie and more with the "Come here and hold hands RIGHT NOW, mister!"
