Which reminds me....
I was taking my first barefoot walk of the season through the Common yesterday (YAY!)-- a little hesitant about the sharp things that might or might not puncture my poor little footsies, and I was reminded of:
"When I look down, I miss all the good stuff,
When I look up, I just trip over things."
And it seemed very true. I look down when I walk more often than not. Don't make much eye-contact... Working on changing that a bit just because you never know what you might miss.

Heh. I'm such a tenderfoot, I'm just starting to wander around the house and office in bare feet!

But, yeah, finding the good balance between looking up and looking down is the key, especially this time of year! Bostonians are pretty cranky about eye-contact, which is too bad. That's one of the things I miss about the west.
