As I sit here eating potato chips with mustard (dijon, of course, although not GOOD dijon), it occurs to me to ask:

What weird food tastes do you have?

Some of mine:

salted lemon wedges
toast with butter and salsa
orange sections left out to dry so the membrane is crispy
grapefruit should only be eaten like an orange, but with the membrane removed. none of this cut-in-half and eat-with-spoon crap.
frozen bananas
ice cream is best ouf of a mug, not a bowl

Weird foods

Ginger ale ice cream floats
Cold pizza and orange juice for breakfast

(my mom does the salted lemon wedge thing. just thinking about it makes my back teeth ache.)

French Fries with French's mustard

Oooh. I like my fries with a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of ketchup and dijon mustard, mixed just right!

I totally agree about the ice cream out of a mug!

I also like:
soggy breakfast cereal

Strange mixes of beverages: orange juice mixed with cranberry; orange juice mixed with ginger ale, etc.

Flat soda (I hate it when it's too bubbly!)

And I'm sure there's more but I'm not thinking of it right now because what's weird to others is normal to me. :)

Saltines with butter

I've had some people tell me that peanut butter and honey sandwiches are weird, but I've been eating them my whole life, so to me they're normal.

When I was little, my mother would fix me cheese and ketchup or cheese and pickle sandwiches. And she likes saltines crumbled into milk and eaten with a spoon. I personally feel that looks like vomit, but I do the same thing with chocolate cookies, so what do I know?

There's no way pb&h is weird! That was what I had in my lunch every day through elementary school! And I'm definitely not weird, so qed. Er. Or something.

That saltine and milk thing, though... I dunno. But I might have to try it just to see.

Me three on the pb&h not being weird. Although I've been told that my pb&h with sliced bananas and raisins *is* weird. (You've gotta mix the pb & the h on one slice of bread and squish the raisins into the mix so they don't fall out, and then lay the banana slices on the other slice of bread and then squish the two together quickly so the bananas don't fall out.) Mmmm...

Oooh, that sounds nummy! I'll have to try it. I like to mix my pb and h together, anyway, for fully melded flavors. I know other people who do pb and banana together, so it's not even a very far leap. Now I'll have to go get some good pb and bread :>

Once when we were out of jelly, I made a peanut butter and cream cheese sandwich. It rocked, so I make it even if we do have jelly now :)

sardines in mustard sauce with a slice of really sharp chedder on a cracker
smoked oysters straight from the can
cantalope with lots of salt
fried eggs sandwiches with cheese, ketchup and relish
cold pizza for breakfast (but that isn't really weird, Christine Lavin has a song about it!)
peanut butter and bacon sandwiches (really! try it!)
olive and pimento spread
baby food apricots or peaches
beluga cavier with creme freche on toast points. Oh, wait, that isn't *weird*, just **expensive**
