That's an interesting question, really.

I mean, intellectually I reject the underlying essentialism and determinism of the question: I'm not nearly that special-purpose.

But emotionally the idea of having a Purpose really does appeal to me, even if I'm not entirely clear on what such a Purpose might look like.
