I marked "my head" for both, but I'm making a concerted effort to rely more on (and pay more attention to) my heart, especially in interpersonal interactions in the last 6 months or so.

I'm not sure I actually know the answers to these questions.

It's a bit tricky, honestly. I marked 'my head' for both, but really it's intertwined - yes, I rely on my head, but I'm guided in large part by my heart.

right, I said "heart" but what I meant was intuition.

I learned some time ago that following your heart mostly just leads to having your heart cut out and stomped on. At this point in my life, the risk of blindly following my heart far outweighs the potential rewards.

Heart is kinda stupid that way. Genitalia doesn't help any either. My big life work is getting head to jump in there and exercise a little discretion.

"But I'm viscerally attracted to her!"
"And she'll totally do me!"
"Yes, and that probably means I should slow down!"

I would really *like* to say I use my head more than my heart. That is not really the case.

I do try to be aware that my first reaction is more heart than head.

Ha. I don't use my heart for anything. Haven't looked at it in a while. It's possible that the only thing in that space is a charcoal briquette with aorta attached. ;)

I can't think of any recent instances in which I had to make a choice. Or was aware of making a choice. Or was aware of either organ being in conflict with the other...

I rely on keeping them in sync, on paying attention to when they're not, and on addressing that.

answered "my heart" for both, but wanted to add that while working, it's my head, at least 80% my head!

Heart points in a direction. Head checks it. I'd say heart is leading... so that's kind of how I answered.

I answed "head" to both but...

I used to rely almost entirely on my head. Around the time I turned 30 I realized that my gut had something useful to add and I started to learn how to listen to it, to put into words what it was telling me, and then to assess that input. I think that before I was about 30, that my gut had insufficient experience to be a useful adviser.

The bigger the question the more likely I am to take my gut's advice into account. What washing machine to buy? All head. What line of work? Both.
